As I sat there with Kevin for the first time, I honestly had no idea if he could help me. Without judging, Kevin listened as I told him I was taking extremely high doses of Morphine in the attempt to manage the severe pain I was left in after a surgeon's error. It had been four years since I had undergone my sixth surgery to repair the damage caused by that error leaving me with paralysis, scar tissue, and nerve damage. I had tried everything to manage my pain; narcotics, injections, exercise programs, and even another acupuncturist, and still no relief. I was actually at the point of giving up and accepting that I would always live in pain, and would never again enjoy the things I once did. Kevin, however, seemed to think he could help me achieve my goal of managing the pain without using narcotics or other medicines. In our sessions, Kevin has always been patient with me. With a severe broken heart in hand, I carried it to Kevin with hopes that he would miraculously and magically repair it – fix it – make it better for me. Acupuncture had been recommended to me for various reasons throughout the years, but I had been too chicken to offer myself up as a human pin-cushion. Fantastic, Life Changing! 
Kevin and Boulder County Acupuncture has changed my life! I started in the ten week program and am now visiting every other week. My goal was to get my life back in balance and hopefully lose some weight. It is working. From the very first session I could feel the difference. My clothes are fitting better all the time and I have lowered my anxiety medication dosage. My friends can see the difference. My neighbors see me working outdoors all weekend and joke that this must have been my acupuncture weekend. My energy level is higher than ever, pain from an old car accident is gone, and my food cravings have changed to healthier choices. I can walk through the bakery at the grocery and not even look. Kevin has made dietary suggestions that help, too. I have done massage therapy in the past and find acupuncture to have similar, but longer lasting, affects.
